Benefits of Hydro
Some benifits of hydropower for the overall population are flood control, clean drinking water, and support for irrigation. Hydropower is not too expensive, and compared to other energy sources, it actually is lower in cost with electricity and durability. According to Energy.gov, "Hydropower is an established industry in the United States, employing 66,500 people. And there are a growing number of jobs available in hydropower, including manufacturing, utilities, professional and business services, construction, trade and transportation, energy systems, water management, environmental science, welding, machinery, and other services."

Tax and Pricing
While hydropower is benificial, it can also be very pricy when it comes to building the powerplants. Ther will obviously be tax benifits, but it can get expensive. There are also cons like droughts so it might not be the most stable powersource, and it isn't always safe.
